Hiroshima castle

It is a castle that was the home of the Hiroshima daimyo. The castle was built in the 1590, but was destroyed by the atomic bombing on August 6th, 1945. It was rebuilt in 1958, a replica of the original which now serves as a museum of Hiroshima's history before the Second World War.

Shukkei-en

It is a historic Japanese garden in the city of Hiroshima. It was destroyed by the bomb, although many of the trees and plants survived to bloom again the following year, and the park and its buildings have long been restored to their original splendor.
