Kinkaku-ji temple

It is known as “the Golden Pavilion” for a very special reason: its top two floors are actually covered with gold leaves. Its shining surface is reflected into the Kyoko-chi, or Mirror Pond. The temple gardens are lined with trees and represent a lovely place to stroll and meditate.Kyoto, at the foot of Mount Arashi.

Arashiyama

It is a tourist area near Kyoto. It is located in the north of the Nishikyo district, south of Ukyo and west of Kyoto, at the foot of Mount Arashi. Standing amid these soaring stalks of bamboo is like being in another world.
